I suppose they were trying to copy Lego in numbering bags and boxes but ENTIRELY miss the point. There are boxes numbered 1-6 and bags numbered 1-7, with a couple extra bags for large square and long pieces. And 7 separate instruction booklets. ONE WOULD THINK then, that the bags labelled 1 in Box 1 would correspond to building the section covered in Booklet 1. BUT NO. You need bags 1, 2, 3 and part of 7 to complete the first section which comprises the entire left wing of the building. Bag 4 is for the central section and bags 5, 6 and the other part of 7 for the right wing and courtyard. This would be fine if anything lined up with the instruction booklets. Instead, the first part of the first section is completed only when you reach half way through the 2nd instruction booklet. Same thing for the rest of the booklets. A section just happens to get completed in the middle of the booklet. It's just crazy! Each set of numbered bags should contain all the materials needed to complete what is contained in the matching numbered instruction booklet. Otherwise it makes no sense at all to do all the numbering in the first place. May just as well dump it all out, sort it, and go from there, like with some of the other low quality quasi-Lego sets. Very annoying as it was claimed in the product description that the bag numbering made things a snap! I've updated my rating to 4 stars. Build design and quality, and instructions are excellent, compared to a lot of other sets out there.
