I will be the first to admit that I am a Lego fanboy, so the mere thought that I would purchase a non-Lego brick product, would, well simply, be unfathomable. With the amount of minifigs that I have been amassing, I liked the idea of using base plates to display them for a multitude of reasons, but I needed to my use Lego base plates for mocs (my own creation) buildings. So I started looking for an alternative that was well designed, sturdy, and affordable (not to mention cool colors like transparent). With slight hesitation (the Lego fanboy in me), I pulled the trigger on these, and was not disappointed in any way. These are thicker than Lego base plate (with a thin rim on the bottom), these are regular plates - which helps with the sturdiness. My minifigs fit nice a snug on them.
