Boyfriend is a car guy, he loves legos too. Had his eye on this for a while and told me months in advance he wanted it. Boxes looked a little beat up when it arrived. It didn’t come with instructions as descriptive as Lego’s usually do. Was missing a piece too. Regardless he loved it and completed the set in less than a week.Great product!Hard to assemble but great result.Only problem was that the packaging was not labeled so had to put in bowls.When I was growing up, my brothers got all the fun building toys, while I got dolls and craft kits. So I bought this just for me as an older adult, and it's a blast! The instructions are very clear, except for sometimes making it difficult to distinguish between grey/beige or grey/black for needed parts. Unfortunately, all the parts come jumbled together in lots of small plastic bags. One thing you must do before starting is to take an hour to sort all the parts. I put the large pieces in a box, the tiny ones by color into muffin tins, and all the rest by color. Now assembly is just plain fun!I bought this for my wife to assemble to help her with her fine motor skills, she enjoyed putting it together and assembling it did more for her than the PT sessions she has been going to. It also helps reinforce organizational skills. PS the bags in this kit were not numbered, so be warned. We sorted the pieces by color and by shape and it made it easier to put together. We bought the '72 camper next, and it's bags were numbered, as most we've encountered are. Just bought the grand piano... Lego Mania continuesIt is what is shown and awesome!It is an older generation of Lego so it is not as "streamlined" in terms of packages like newer Lego. Adds a bit more challenge.It’s so detailed my granddaughter is 10 and she had no problem putting it together. I would say she’s at expert level. Although I thought it was expensive for “Legos” ! It has such cute details it is like a piece of art. I’d buy it again.I'm a 76 year old woman. As a teenager, I enjoyed building model cars along with the neighbor boys. These Lego sets are just an updated model kit. However, I do wish the pieces bags for the Volkswagen camper van were numbered, like they were for the VW Beetle. I'll figure it out! The direction pictures are easy to follow. I've learned I can't get in a hurry, it's just one step at a time. The VW Beetle and now the camper van are the first Creator Expert sets I have done. Thank you for a fun thing to do in these crazy times.I'm fine with paying an exorbitant price for this since I didn't have a chance to get it in stores. However, I am disappointed that the box was damaged. I might as well have bought a second-hand one for half the price.It was disappointing that not only were some pieces missing,though Lego were very helpful in replacing those.It was also time consuming finding the pieces you wanted as the bags of bricks were not numbered so I had to trawl through every bag (15! ) to find the piece I needed.This was bought as a Christmas gift for my wife and she loved it. I also bought the light kit. She spent several days building it and it looks fantastic. Extremely happy with my purchase. Certainly would recommend this for Lego enthusiast.Was really fun to build, instruction were pretty easy.Only one piece of lego was printed different to what the item was and got me confused for a little bit - watch out for that grey 1x1 piece!Very cute and looks great!As with all Lego builds, it is the building of it that I enjoy most, and this was great to.
