Official Lego product, at Lego's incredible levels of quality. All bricks were made of excellent plastic and perfectly shaped with no moldflashing or any problems that plague knockoffs. Color was almost perfect, but because it was a very dark solid color there was just the slightest grain visible on the ends of the bricks, presumably from mold release. Far better than any non-lego brand building bricks I've ordered(including the licensed ones by Mattel and Hasbro), and wouldn't be noticeable under most lighting(let alone in most other colors). Also excellent shipping. Ordered a bit late and wasn't expecting it to get to me before Christmas but it did. Niece was overjoyed... when I could get it to her a week later.Order was for 100 bricks... and I actually received in the plastic bag 102 bricks, another rarity. Normally when buying building bricks in bulk, the final count does not equal the advertised amount(usually by only about 1% or less, though some brands are worse, see other reviews for that) so I was incredibly surprised(and recounted twice, the final time building them all together in a 10x10 wall... with still 2 left over. Then cat knocked that wall onto my foot and the wall didn't break, good fit on the bricks.) and hopefully this is standard. With the level of quality control, I have to think that the extra 2 are intentional, and I'm willing to purchase again to test that theory.Which unfortunately brings me to the only bad point... the price for bulk bricks is a touch high. If you want just this one color for a specific build, it's absolutely worth it, but if you're just buying for some child who is likely to not demand perfection, this is more of a toss up as to the price being worth it. As I'm writing this an official Lego set of 484 pieces is on sale for roughly the same price(due to a sale)... but that's divided out into 8 different colors and will assuredly not be all 2x4 sized. The informed decision is up to future customers.
